The EMPLOYEES' STATE INSURANCE CORPORATION, a statutory body, under Ministry)' of Labour & Employment, Govt Of lndia, is playing significant role in providing several befefits to the millions of Workers covered under the Scheme.The E.S.I. Scheme was stated in 1952. Since then it has been growing and as of now there are Approx 3.11 crores Insured Person and their families covered under the Scheme.

In Delhi, ESI Scheme was initially implemented on 24 th February 1952 (ESJC Day). Delhi region is divided in 4 Sub Zone in which SRO OKHLA plays a major role.Out of the 11 districts of Delhi 4 districts are covered under SRO Okhla & providing benefit ro Approx 9 lacs Insured Person and their families.

For administration of the ESJ Scheme SRO Okhla is having one Sub-Regional Office and 4 Branch Offices (Palam, Kalkaji, Ashram and Okhla ) for providing benefits and making ease of getting information to Insured Persons about the benefits of the ESIC.
